Baseball Game Preview: Beech Buccaneers vs. Greenbrier Bobcats

The Beech Buccaneers will face off against the Greenbrier Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Beech's tournament run continued when they took on Clarksville Academy on Thursday. Beech fell 7-3 to Clarksville Academy.

Jack Douglass was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Cade Philpot also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Greenbrier and White House-Heritage, and Greenbrier kept the tradition alive. Greenbrier never let White House-Heritage get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Wednesday. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Beech now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Greenbrier, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
