Basketball Game Preview: Bellingham Bayhawks vs. Oak Harbor Wildcats

Bellingham and Oak Harbor are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Bellingham Bayhawks will host the Oak Harbor Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Saturday, Bellingham was able to grind out a solid win over Nooksack Valley, taking the game 81-74.

Meanwhile, Oak Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 82-78 heartbreaker at the hands of Sedro-Woolley. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (75), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Bellingham's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Oak Harbor, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Bellingham beat Oak Harbor 56-45 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Does Bellingham have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oak Harbor turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
