Softball Recap: Upper Dauphin Area Trojans vs. Loyalsock Township Lancers

Upper Dauphin Area had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 5-6 to make it four. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loyalsock Township Lancers. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

As for Loyalsock Township, their win bumped their record up to 7-2. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

For Loyalsock Township's part, Easton Waller made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Waller was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Addi Barroway was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lydia Krescok, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Looking ahead, Upper Dauphin Area will be playing in front of their home fans against Halifax at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Loyalsock Township, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Montoursville on the 18th.
