Basketball Recap: East Moline United Panthers vs. Quincy Blue Devils

The East Moline United Panthers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 41-22 victory over Quincy. That's another feather in the cap for East Moline United, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Quincy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taylor Fohey, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

East Moline United pushed their record up to 22-5 with that win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Quincy, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 22-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Moline United will take on the Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Quincy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Hannibal will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 174th in Missouri, while the Blue Devils are ranked 28th in Illinois).
