Hoover is 7-2 against Kearny since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cardinals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Komets at 6:15 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Hoover got the win against Logan Memorial Education Campus by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hoover was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-10, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Kearny made easy work of Crawford on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Kearny never let Crawford on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 25-21.

Hoover's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Kearny, their win bumped their record up to 6-20.

Hoover took their victory against Kearny when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Komets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
