Basketball Game Preview: Morgan Township Cherokees vs. Hanover Central Wildcats

The Morgan Township Cherokees will take on the Hanover Central Wildcats in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

On Saturday, Morgan Township came up short against Kouts and fell 45-38.

Meanwhile, Hanover Central entered their tilt with River Forest on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Ingots with a sharp 49-26 win. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 23 points or more this season.

Hanover Central pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.2 points per game. As for Morgan Township, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-4.

Morgan Township beat Hanover Central 54-41 in their previous matchup back in January of 2018. Will Morgan Township repeat their success, or does Hanover Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
