Basketball Game Preview: Banner County Wildcats vs. Morrill Lions

Banner County hasn't had much luck against Morrill recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Banner County Wildcats face off against the Morrill Lions at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Banner County is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game back in December of 2024. They had to suffer through a 47-18 loss at the hands of Edgemont. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-8.

Despite the defeat, Banner County saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kyrie Roldan posted four points in addition to 16 rebounds and three steals. Those 16 boards set a new season-high mark for Roldan.

Meanwhile, Morrill came up short against Crawford on Saturday and fell 51-40.

Morrill has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Banner County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
