Othello won against Quincy  on Tuesday with ten  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Saturday. The Huskies didn't even let the Ephrata Tigers on the board, marking the Huskies' second-straight  10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won eight matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Xzyyvn Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances with three  runs and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Rjay Garza was  incredible,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run and five  RBI. That  home run was  his first of the season.
Othello pushed their record up to 11-3 with the  win, which was their seventh straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Ephrata,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Othello will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
