Baseball Game Preview: Penns Grove Red Devils vs. Overbrook Rams

Penns Grove is 1-7 against Overbrook since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Red Devils will take on the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Penns Grove has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Penns Grove is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game on May 12th. They came up short against Wildwood, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Overbrook rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Lions. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Penns Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Overbrook, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.

Penns Grove might still be hurting after the 19-1 loss they got from Overbrook in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
