Basketball Game Preview: Olympic Trojans vs. Davie War Eagles

The Olympic Trojans and the Davie War Eagles will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Olympic's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.

Olympic is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Wesleyan Christian Academy just ended the team's ten-game winning streak on Friday. Their2024 ended with an 88-70 loss against the Trojans. The loss put an end to Olympic's undefeated start to the season.

Despite their defeat, Olympic saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Randy Johnson, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 20 points, was perhaps the best of all. Johnson's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. JD Terrell was another key player, going 7 for 15 on his way to 18 points.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Davie's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Southwest Guilford by a score of 70-68.

Having lost for the first time this season, Olympic fell to 10-1. As for Davie, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
