Baseball Recap: Swenson Arts & Tech Takes a Loss

Swenson Arts & Tech extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-9 in the process. They lost 16-3 to Mariana Bracetti Academy. The Lion were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mariana Bracetti Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

As for Mariana Bracetti Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Mariana Bracetti Academy's part, the team relied heavily on Franklin Guzman, who got on base in five of his eight plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles Guzman has posted since back in April of 2024. Chrystopher Hernandez was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
