Basketball Recap: Kennedy Crusaders vs. Shepard Astros
Kennedy lost against Shepard back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kennedy Crusaders were dealt a 78-37 loss at the hands of the Shepard Astros. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kennedy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Dahl, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jovani Naverette, who scored six points and five boards.
Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Shepard, their win bumped their record up to 11-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennedy will challenge Solorio at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kennedy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season. As for Shepard, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Evergreen Park at 6:30 p.m. Evergreen Park knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Shepard likes a good challenge.
