Softball Recap: Del Rio Takes a Loss

Del Rio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 16-6 to the Laredo LBJ Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 back in February.

Devyn Casillas was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Del Rio's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Laredo LBJ, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Del Rio has already played their next matchup, a 7-5 win against Alexander on the 28th. As for Laredo LBJ, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-0 defeat against Medina Valley on the 28th.
