George Washington Prep scaled the state rankings by moving to 616 from 654 this week, the biggest jump in Marine. The Generals were able to move up by falling to Narbonne 54-6.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Carson beat Gardena 56-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Carson's dynamic duo of Kiki Flores and Don'Yeh Patterson proved to be unstoppable against the Panthers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Flores threw for 208 yards and 3 touchdowns and Patterson had 60 yards receiving. Jabari Minix helped Carson's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 51 yards.
He went 14-20 with 1 interception.
Banning's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Pilots feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Austin Mendoza has thrown for 1,343 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Janson Navarrete has 46 catches for 490 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when San Pedro takes on George Washington Prep. As it stands, the Pirates are in second, while H. E. Causey's team is in third.
The league will see a high scoring game when kevin mccall's team and Banning face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Colts comes in having scored 213 this season, while the Pilots have scored 198. Carson scored 56 points last week as it defeated Gardena.
Deon toliver's team lost to the Colts 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
