The Penn-Trafford Warriors will challenge the Plum Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Penn-Trafford has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Last Tuesday, Penn-Trafford had just enough and edged out Armstrong 5-3.

Hunter Brown looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Penn-Trafford is undefeated when Brown allows one or fewer hits, but 2-3 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Penn-Trafford saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Matrisch, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Jon Lovre was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Plum scored first but ultimately less than North Allegheny in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-6. The loss put an end to the Mustangs' undefeated start to the season.
Jake Dombkowski put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Dombkowski was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
Penn-Trafford pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Plum, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Penn-Trafford hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like Plum struggles in that department as they've averaged .390. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Penn-Trafford took their win against Plum in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
