Softball Recap: Shakamak Drops Season-High Score on Bloomington North

Shakamak lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Bloomington North, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Lakers were the clear victors by a 16-7 margin over the Cougars on Monday. The Lakers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jamison Ewers was incredible, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Gambill, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, one double, and one RBI.

Shakamak's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Bloomington North, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
