Softball Recap: Kettle Falls Comes Up Short

Kettle Falls lost to Newport back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs lost 16-5 to the Grizzlies. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Heira Palumbo made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Kettle Falls now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Newport, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Kettle Falls is taking a road trip to challenge Colfax at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newport will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' contest: after the Bulldogs face off against the Bulldogs, they'll take on Newport again at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
