Basketball Recap: Phillipsburg Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Emmaus, Phillipsburg was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 44-43 photo finish over the Freedom Patriots. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Stateliners also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Phillipsburg's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Freedom, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phillipsburg will head out to take on Belvidere at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Belvidere will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Phillipsburg surely won't give up without a fight. As for Freedom, they will challenge Bethlehem Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
