Softball Recap: Parkland Has No Trouble Against Louis E. Dieruff

After only one run in their last contest, Parkland made sure to put some runs up on the board against Louis E. Dieruff on Monday. The Trojans blew past the Huskies 16-1. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Addison Fritzinger made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Fritzinger was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Gianna Hudock was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ami Patel, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Parkland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Parkland's record now sits at 5-9. As for Louis E. Dieruff, they dropped their record down to 0-15 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Parkland has already played their next matchup, a 15-0 win against William Allen on the 22nd. Louis E. Dieruff has also already played their next game (against Whitehall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
