Football Game Preview: McLean Highlanders vs. Herndon Hornets + How To Watch

The McLean Highlanders are taking a road trip to square off against the Herndon Hornets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

McLean fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Robinson on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 31-28. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Herndon hadn't done well against South Lakes recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Hornets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 23-20 win over the Seahawks. The Hornets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

McLean's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Herndon, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

McLean was dealt a bruising 30-0 defeat at the hands of Herndon in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Highlanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
