River Bluff and Chapin are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The River Bluff Gators will welcome the Chapin Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. River Bluff is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.6 goals per game this season.

River Bluff's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Irmo 4-0. Holden Carruthers was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Chapin faced Lexington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Chapin narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Lexington 3-2. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Chapin's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three matches. As for River Bluff, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

River Bluff beat Chapin 2-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will River Bluff repeat their success, or does Chapin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
