Softball Recap: Grant Lancers vs. Monroe Vikings
Grant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 32-2 to the Monroe Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-5 back in April.
Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Monroe, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grant will square off against North Hollywood at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Lancers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Monroe, they will take on Canoga Park at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hunters have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
