Soccer Game Preview: Clarkston vs. Rogers

For the first time this season, Clarkston will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Monday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rogers Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Clarkston will be strutting in after a win while Rogers will be coming in after a loss.

Clarkston took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Newport 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Bantams were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Rogers' offense. They came up short against West Valley on Thursday, falling 4-0. The Pirates have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meetings.

The victory got Clarkston back to even at 1-1. As for Rogers, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
