Softball Recap: Carondelet's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Carondelet took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Freedom, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Falcons 4-3. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Carondelet's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Freedom, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carondelet will welcome Dublin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Gaels at the right time seeing as the Gaels are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Freedom, they will be playing at home against Pittsburg at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
