Basketball Game Preview: Ashe County Huskies vs. North Davidson Black Knights

The Ashe County Huskies and the North Davidson Black Knights will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.

On Friday, Ashe County came up short against East Forsyth and fell 62-53. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Huskies came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Eagles are ranked 220th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Davidson). They were the clear victor by a 58-34 margin over Jordan-Matthews on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Black Knights considering their 18-point performance the match before.

Ashe County's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for North Davidson, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
