Soccer Recap: Dawson County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Union County last Friday, Dawson County came back down to earth. The Dawson County Tigers came up short against the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans on Tuesday, falling 5-0. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in March of 2020.

Dawson County's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Dawson County face off against the Gilmer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Gilmer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, they will head out to face off against Savannah Country Day at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Savannah Country Day will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Greater Atlanta Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
