Football Game Preview: Newell-Fonda vs. Southeast Warren

Southeast Warren may have come out ahead in their last matchup, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. They and Newell-Fonda go head to head on Friday at 7:00 PM in their first playoff contest of the year. Southeast Warren will really need to gear up for this challenge, as Newell-Fonda will be their toughest opponent yet.

Newell-Fonda won against St. Mary's two weeks ago with 24 points, and Newell-Fonda decided to stick to that point total again last Friday. Newell-Fonda were able to grind out a solid victory over West Bend-Mallard, winning 24-16.

Meanwhile, Southeast Warren put the finishing touches on their 8th blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Lamoni 65-22. The win was familiar territory for Southeast Warren, who now have ten in a row.

Their wins bumped Newell-Fonda to 8-1 and Southeast Warren to 10-0. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
