With a playoff win on the line, Gray's Creek rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fuquay - Varina Bengals, sneaking past 4-3. The victory was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on six straight.

Gray's Creek's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gunner Sterling, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Gray's Creek's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Fuquay - Varina, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

Gray's Creek didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 22-13 defeat against Pinecrest on the 9th. Fuquay - Varina does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
