Weimar had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They managed a 56-51 win over the Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-48 back in December of 2024.

Weimar has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points per game. As for Bloomington, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weimar will square off against Shiner at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bloomington, they will challenge Schulenburg at 7:15 p.m. on January 31st.
