Basketball Recap: Providence Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Providence Christian Academy lost against Tome back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Providence Christian Academy Griffins took a blow against the Tome Titans, falling 80-42.

Despite the loss, Providence Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Bryce Unruh, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Unruh is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 39 games he's played dating back to last season. Peyton Riess was another key player, putting up seven points and seven rebounds.

Providence Christian Academy dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Tome, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Providence Christian Academy will square off against Aquinas Academy on Friday. Aquinas Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Tome, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Caravel at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Tome's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
