It was fun while it lasted, but Chaparral's undefeated season came to an end after six games on Friday. They took a hard 68-54 fall against the Lincoln Trojans. The loss put an end to the Wolverines' undefeated start to the season.

Chaparral lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Luke Howery, who posted 15 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Christian Williams was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds.

Lincoln's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Moore, who went 9 of 22 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. The game was Moore's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donez Lindsey, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Chaparral fell to 6-1. As for Lincoln, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Chaparral wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-41 win against Cardinal Newman on the 21st. As for Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-47 victory against Clayton Valley Charter on the 21st.
