Volleyball Recap: Baldwin Starts off Right with Win over Valley Stream Central

Baldwin gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Valley Stream Central Eagles. The Bruins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Baldwin took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-13, 25-8.

Valley Stream Central is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Valley Stream Central will welcome Hempstead at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Baldwin will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' match: after the Eagles face off against Westbury, they'll take on Baldwin again at 6:45 p.m. on October 7.
