After losing to Gilmer the last time they met, Northwest Whitfield decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Northwest Whitfield Bruins walked away with a 66-57 win over the Gilmer Bobcats on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bruins.

Gilmer's loss came despite strong showings from Jd Taylor and Keegen Bryant. Taylor went 8 of 13 on his way to 24 points and six rebounds, while Bryant posted 20 points and three steals. The game was Taylor's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Preston Mcvey, who earned four points.

Northwest Whitfield's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Gilmer, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Northwest Whitfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-41 win against Heritage on the 17th. Gilmer has also already played their next game, a 68-54 loss against Adairsville on the 17th.
