Softball Recap: Westland Hialeah Comes Up Short

Westland Hialeah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-1 to the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in March.

Westland Hialeah's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hialeah-Miami Lakes, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westland Hialeah will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hialeah Gardens at 3:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Hialeah-Miami Lakes, they will challenge Goleman at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
