After a string of three wins, Canton's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 59-47 to the Athens Hornets. The Eagles were probably out for revenge after losing 45-34 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Canton's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Athens, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8.

Canton will challenge Brownsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Canton is facing Brownsboro at the right time seeing as Brownsboro is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Athens, they will square off against Mabank at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mabank knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Athens likes a good challenge.
