Baseball Recap: Spring Valley Find Success

Spring Valley let Lugoff-Elgin stack six runs on them in the second inning on Thursday but luckily Spring Valley prevailed anyway. The Vikings won by a run and slipped past the Demons 11-10. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 on Tuesday.

Spring Valley let Andrew Kirby and Jackson Williams run wild. Kirby went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run, while Williams went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those four RBI gave Kirby a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brady Evans, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Spring Valley and bumps their season record up to 10-14. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-14.

As of now, neither Spring Valley nor the Demons have any future games scheduled.
