Augusta hadn't beaten Pepin/Alma on the road since September 20, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Beavers put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. The Beavers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0).

Augusta not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Pepin/Alma between 17 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-18.

Stella Zank paced Augusta's offense, picking up ten kills. Zank got some help from Rilee Bethke and her 15 assists.

Augusta's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Pepin/Alma, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Augusta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran on the 2nd. As for Pepin/Alma, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Melrose-Mindoro on the 2nd.
