Gridley has gone a perfect 3-0 against Hamilton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Gridley will host Hamilton at 4:00 p.m. Gridley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.5 runs per game this season.

Gridley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Red Bluff, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Gridley was the clear victor by a 10-4 margin over Red Bluff on Tuesday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

Kay Pruitt made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Pruitt was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Delanie Cloyd, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Alexis Alcantar, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Gridley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Red Bluff only posted a batting average of .240.

Meanwhile, Hamilton didn't have quite enough to beat Mt. Shasta on Tuesday and fell 7-6. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gridley's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Hamilton, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Gridley beat Hamilton 12-7 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will Gridley repeat their success, or does Hamilton has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
