Volleyball Recap: Notus Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Notus lost against Wilder back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pirates lost 3-0 to the Wildcats.

While Notus had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19, 25-20.

Their offense was headlined by Lauren Nelson and Allie Benitez, who picked up two kills apiece. Nelson really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Wilder's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nancy Ramirez led the charge by getting 13 digs and five aces. That's the most aces Ramirez has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Natalie Escutia, who had 12 digs, seven kills, and four aces.

Notus' loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Wilder, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Notus has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Riverstone International on the 25th. As for Wilder, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Compass Charter on the 23rd.
