Makenzie Daubenmire leads a balanced attack to beat Nelsonville-York

Recap: Logan Chieftains vs. Nelsonville-York Buckeyes

The Logan Chieftains won the last time they faced the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Logan took down Nelsonville-York 51-36. The win made it back-to-back wins for Logan.

Logan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makenzie Daubenmire, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Daubenmire has been hot recently, having posted three or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Claire Warren, who scored nine points along with seven assists and three steals.

Despite the loss, Nelsonville-York still got an impressive performance from Airah Lavy, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Lavy hasn't dropped below 16 points for seven straight games. Kalina Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.

Logan's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-13. As for Nelsonville-York, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Logan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-34 loss vs. Fairfield Union on the 8th. Nelsonville-York will square off against Federal Hocking at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
