Basketball Recap: Pine Eagle Comes Up Short

Pine Eagle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 87-31 loss at the hands of the Open Door Christian Academy Huskies.

Pine Eagle's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Open Door Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Pine Eagle and Imbler will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Pine Eagle is facing Imbler at the right time seeing as Imbler is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Open Door Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Prairie City at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Open Door Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Prairie City likes a good challenge.
