Football Game Preview: Richton Rebels vs. Bogue Chitto Bobcats + Official Tickets

Two dominant backs in B.J. Brown and Jayden Poole are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Richton Rebels will head out to face off against the Bogue Chitto Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Richton turned things around against Newton on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 32-8 margin over the Tigers. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Rebels considering their 12-point performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Bogue Chitto faced off against Salem on Thursday. The Bobcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wildcats 45-14. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won six in a row.

Bogue Chitto didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Manny Connerly and Poole. Connerly has been hot recently, having posted at least one interception the last four times he's played.

Bogue Chitto's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Richton, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Richton has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 212.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bogue Chitto struggles in that department as they've been averaging 220 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
