Football Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss

Monticello was the 34-14 winner over Goochland when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs took a 17-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Friday. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Monticello's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Goochland, they moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Monticello will square off against rival Albemarle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Goochland is set to take on their familiar foe Fluvanna County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
