Basketball Recap: Steele Comets vs. Midview Middies

Steele was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midview Middies. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 38-21 to the Middies when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leah DiFranco was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine steals for Midview. Those nine steals gave DiFranco a new career-high. Hunter Crum was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Steele's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Midview, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Steele didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-25 loss against Berea-Midpark on the 12th. As for Midview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-29 defeat against Avon Lake on the 13th.
