Edison and Crespi squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Edison had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 90-54 loss at the hands of the Crespi Celts. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Celts are ranked 15th).

Jayden Xu was nothing short of spectacular for Crespi: he went 6-for-8 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Barnes, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 12 points in addition to eight assists and six boards.

Edison has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 17-12 record this season. As for Crespi, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.
