Basketball Recap: KIPP College Prep Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

KIPP College Prep lost to Northwood back in December of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The KIPP College Prep Panthers strolled past the Northwood Gladiators with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 21st in District of Columbia, while the Gladiators are ranked 241st in Maryland), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

KIPP College Prep's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-5. As for Northwood, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

KIPP College Prep will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Parkside at 7:15 p.m. on January 7th. As for Northwood, they will take on Wheaton on Friday. Wheaton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Northwood likes a good challenge.
