Grand Blanc put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's sixth consecutive shutout on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Warren Sterling United [Mott/Cousino/Sterling Heights] a 15-0 shutout. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Savannah Schultz was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Grand Blanc got a massive performance out of Alaina Trotter, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double. Those three runs gave Trotter a new career-high. Kate Mitchell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Grand Blanc was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .348 or higher in four consecutive games.

Grand Blanc has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season.

Grand Blanc will challenge Walled Lake Central at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.61 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
