Basketball Recap: Callisburg Comes Up Short

Callisburg has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They had to suffer through a 63-30 loss at the hands of the Ponder Lions. The Wildcats lost against the Lions in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 71-13 score last time.

Callisburg's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7. As for Ponder, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Pilot Point the next time they take the court. Callisburg will head out to face Pilot Point at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Ponder will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on January 14th.
