16 must be Wallace-Rose Hill's lucky number: they beat Kinston with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Bulldogs never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Wallace-Rose Hill pushed their record up to 6-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Kinston, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wallace-Rose Hill will challenge Pender at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kinston, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Lenoir at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th.
