Basketball Recap: Ennis Comes Up Short

Ennis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They fell 43-36 to the Kaufman Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Ennis this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-42 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Ennis still got an impressive performance from Aniyha???????? Hereford, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Bodine, who scored eight points.

Aubre Prox was her usual excellent self, going 7 for 15 on her way to 18 points and three steals for Kaufman. With that strong performance, Prox is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game. Kaylee Wrenn was another key player, going 5 of 12 en route to 14 points and three steals.

Ennis' defeat dropped their record down to 6-22. As for Kaufman, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6.

Ennis has already played their next contest (against Crandall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Kaufman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-56 loss against Midlothian on the 17th.
